No. The ceramic teapot should not be placed directly on a hob, stove or open flame. Boil the water separately, then pour the hot water into the teapot for brewing.

Yes. The teapot is dishwasher safe. The removable infuser can be taken out before washing. For long-term care of the finish, gentle hand washing is also recommended.
Does the handle get hot?
